@rey I found the thing that is going on with your system. Many of my other users also emailed me with the same problem. The problem lies with the script. It crashes on some particular PCs.
Here is the another script that does the same job but does not crashes.
Try it. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/107159
I don’t think you will have any problem with this. Install it the same way you installed the earlier one.

I got a problem with the google chrome. I keep repeating but nothing happen. The scripts successfully installed but still the the chat box not restore in the old version. It works in mozilla but not in google chrome. Any idea with this?

it may go bk to looking like the old chat but as soon as u click on it the sidebar pops up again

Well go to Tools -> Extensions and look for Facebook Sidebar Chat Reversion – Version: 1.4.10

you don’t need any plugins or anything, you can do it manually yourself.

If you want to get rid of the new chat bar thing, if you click the little cog symbol, & untick “avaiable to chat” then “hide sidebar” it goes away & looks just like the old chat bar, thats how to get rid of it,

Well facebook does not provides any way to officially downgrade the chat but this plugin will make a new interface for the chat which is similar to the previous version. Try this It will surely help you.
